Coming Soon: Adam & Lindsay's Mountain Wedding at Sundance

This glowing couple's Navy & Coral wedding was held at Sundance Resort this past weekend. Complete with a string quartet, you can imagine that it was classy.

Here is a small sampling of the beautiful bouquets to be had:

Butterfly bush, Juliet garden roses, freesia, and more! I know I can't wait to see the photographer's shots!

Amid the Tempest, Dark and Wild

I couldn't not help myself to the beautifully wild, dark agonis and coral peach peonies! When I saw them, I knew I had to create something. I had so much fun playing with the visual weight on this one, the left being anchored by the volume of the pussy willow and the right being anchored by the dark and visually dense texture of the agonis.

the garden admires her

I love the arc and drape of this arrangement and all the textures I was able to incorporate. These roses were fun because as they bloomed, they lost their purple and became slightly more pink and khaki - ambiguously colored and curious to look at. The recipient of this arrangement used to play the Bass, so I included a guitar string envelope as an envelope for the card. The brand of string is Earthwood - how apt!

A bit of Irish Countryside

This year for Habitat for Humanity's fundraiser breakfast, seeing as it was near St. Patrick's Day, they wanted to do a pot of gold theme. At first I was stumped as to how I was going to pull this off without it being kitschy or cheesy. I opted to do something mossy. Something resonant of Irish Countryside with gold accents.

We had so much fun creating these. I imagine the forest floor in Ireland looking just like these. I will be very much disappointed if, one day when I go there, it doesn't look like this.

Beauties, I tell you!

UVU PR Tradeshow Piece

This thoughtful arrangement was for the PR trade show at UVU. They asked that it be along the lines of our Irish Country-side inspired pieces for this year's Habitat for Humanity county fundraiser breakfast (post coming soon!).  I loved being able to do something more directly linear, while still maintaining a slightly "found" feeling. The recycled paper container filled with fresh sheet moss and sponge mushrooms certainly set the tone and the stock smelled heavenly!

Welcome Baby Ashton!

A Lovely yellow and blue basket arrangement
to welcome Baby Ashton into the world!

Congratulations to the beaming mommy, Aldana!

The inspiration for the baby shower was Owls.
And don't you think this arrangement matches the theme perfectly?

Amelia & Phil

I was ecstatic when Amelia said turquoise was one of her colors! We had really wanted to use fern curls (aka monkey's tail, fiddle fern) in her bouquet, but we still wanted to bring in the turquoise color, so I came up with the wire fern curls instead. I was so excited to create the unique, crescent shaped bouquet. This lovely palette had just a touch of winter with small bits of dusty miller, cedar, and amaryllis.

More pictures to follow!

Boutonnieres of white majolica spray roses, turquoise wire fern curls, seeded eucalyptus, dusty miller, and stems finished with more wire detailing.

Bridesmaid bouquet of turqoise wire fern curls, peacock feather tips, turquoise waxflower, "Amelia" roses, misty white, variegated lily grass, and seeded eucalyptus.

My favorite view of this crescent shaped bouquet is from the side:
