UVU PR Tradeshow Piece

This thoughtful arrangement was for the PR trade show at UVU. They asked that it be along the lines of our Irish Country-side inspired pieces for this year's Habitat for Humanity county fundraiser breakfast (post coming soon!).  I loved being able to do something more directly linear, while still maintaining a slightly "found" feeling. The recycled paper container filled with fresh sheet moss and sponge mushrooms certainly set the tone and the stock smelled heavenly!

Featuring: Bells of Ireland, Sheet Moss, Sponge Mushrooms, White Majolica Spray Roses, Cream Stock, Curly Willow (sprayed gold).

Little Lucas

This was such a sad occasion to be designing flowers for and I wished I could've done more to help. These were the funeral flowers for my cousin's baby. His name is Lucas and he was born with Down Syndrome, which of course is accompanied by holes in the heart. There were some complications and he caught an infection. His family was able to love him and hold him for 16 days before he returned to his heavenly father. I can't imagine the pain they are going through. He will always be theirs though and they will one day be reunited.

We love you, little Lucas!
