Mama's Birthday Flowers

March 5th was my dearest Mother's birthday. We celebrated with a cozy dinner with my grandma and most of us kids. And I made her a delicious, rich, chocolate-y cake. It was so, so rich! My mom is a very special person. She is so strong and sensitive and she has done so much for those around her.

My family spent some time in Germany surrounding my birth. My mom misses it all the time. One of the things she misses seeing are the wooden window boxes, full of red geraniums. I tried to recreate that feeling in with this arrangement of red anemones and a wood vase. 

I think it did the trick!

Anemone Love

I saw these dark purple Anemones the other day and just couldn't resist!

I paired them with some green Hypericum, Purple Hydrangea and Xanadu and gifted them to Miss Courtney to keep her company as she sets forth on a particularly stressful week.
